Peter Rex Tarrant is a British artist born in 1943 near Morville, Shropshire. He attended Shrewsbury School of Art in the 1960s,  his main themes were the countryman and his environment. His work is deeply rooted in the rural landscapes and life of the region, often blending fantasy and realism through rich textures and mixed media compositions.

He has had solo and group exhibitions including Birmingham’s Compendium Gallery,  Ikon Gallery, and the Maltzahn Gallery as well as private and public collections  including Birmingham City Museum and Art Gallery.

This gallery holds one work, called, I believe Pig Heaven

Approx  92 by 12cm, mixed media/oil on hardboard, crudely framed in wood. Slightly damaged. “Signed” on the reverse. Daylight photo captures too much reflected light, indoor shows the colour intensity better but suffers localised glare.
